Chautauqua Students of the Month have their achievements recognized with an award certificate and each of their parents received a letter of congratulations. In addition, each Chautauqua Student of the Month receives gifts from the following sponsors:

Free bowling games at the Bowling Barn or free movie passes at the Village Theaters
Free lift ticket, lunch and equipment rental at Big Bear Mountain Ski Resort

The Lion's Club Student of the Month receives the following in recognition of their achievement:

Student's name on the school plaque
Receipt of a personalized plaque from the Sunset Lions Club
A free dinner for the student and parent with the Sunset Lions Club.

STAR Performers are students who have maintained or improved their national percentile rankings in all areas tested by STAR and who have passed both sections of the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam). In recognition of their achievement, students receive the following gifts and awards:

• Name on the school plaque
• Award certificate and letter to the parent
• Recognition at a group meeting
