The Garden of Abdul gasazi 6 times Miss Hester's dog Fritz dear cousin Innes sew-in Miss Hester received an invitation to visit in as she was not surprised to read PS please give your dog at home on the day of her visit Miss Hester asked young Allen mix to stay with Fritz and give him an afternoon walk as soon as Miss Hester left Fritz ran into the Parlor he love to chew on the chairs and shake the stuffing out of the pillows but Allen was ready all morning long he kept fritzen from sinking his sharp little teeth into the furniture finally the dog gave up and fell asleep exhausted Island map to but first he hit his hat under his shirt hats being one of Fritz favorite things to chew  an hour later Island play wrote One Fritz gave him a bite on the nose the bad man our dog was ready for his afternoon walk Allen fast and fruits leash and the dog dragged him the house walking along they discovered a small white bridge at the side of the road Allen decided to let Fritz leave the way across some distance beyond the bridge Allen stop to read a sign it said absolutely positively no dogs allowed send this Garden at the bottom it was signed Abdul gasazi retired magician behind the signs Vine covered wall with an open doorway Alan took the warning quite seriously he turned to leave but as he did Fritz give a tremendous tug and snap right out of his collar he bolted Straight Ahead through the open door with Allen running right behind  text Pride Allen but the dog simply ignored him down Shadow past and across sunlit Lawns they raced deeper and deeper into the garden finally Ellen Drew close enough to grab hold of Fritz but as he reached out he's slipped and fell Fritz parked with laughter as he galloped site Alan slowly picked himself up he knew he had to find Fritz before Mr gosausee discovered him bruised and tired hurried off in the dogs Direction after a long search Alan was ready to give up he was afraid he might never find friends but then he came upon fresh dog Prince slowly he followed Fritz tracks along a path that led into a florist the dirt path ended and a brick wall back there were no more tracks to follow but Allen was certain that Fritz must be just ahead  Berlin started running tell him he could see a clearing in the forest as he came dashing Out of the Woods he stopped as quickly as if he had run up against the wall for their in front of him stood of truly some site it was the house of gosausee Allen nervously climb the great stairs convinced Fritz and come this way and have been captured the boy's heart was pounding when he arrived at the huge door he took a deep breath and reached for the Bell but before he touched the work it swung open there in the shadow of the great hallway stood gosausee the Great  greetings no, it was all that he said  Alan fallen kisasi into a large room when the magician turned around Allen play apologize for letting Fritz into the garden he politely asked that if Mr massagy had Fritz what he please give him back some Edition listen carefully and then smiling said definitely you may have your little dog fritzy follow me but those words he went to the door and let Alan back sign  they were walking across the lawn when suddenly decides he stopped by a gathering of ducks he began to speak in a voice that was more like a growl I did test dogs they did at my flowers they chew on my trees do you know what I do to do find a mine golden what whispered Allen almost afraid to hear the answer ducks  bellasazi  in horror Allen looked at the birds in front of him when one duck forward kisasi said Fritz Allen beg to the magician to change Fritz back impossible he answered only time when do that last year's or perhaps just a day not take your burden please don't come again talented the bird in his arms at trying to give him a bite  good old boy said Allen play as he patted the bird on the head you really haven't changed so much with tears in his eyes he started for home behind him Allen could hear guess laughing as he approached the stairway a gust of wind took Allen's hat sailing right off his head running along with one arm reaching for the Hat Allen Law hold on Fritz the duck flew out ahead and grab the Hat in midair but instead of Landing he just kept on flying higher and higher until disappeared and the afternoon clowns Alan just stood and stared at the empty sky  Goodbye old no he called out sadly sure that Fritz was gone forever at least he had something to chew on slowly one step after another Ellen found his way back to the garden gate and over the bridge it was sunset by the time he reached Miss Hester's lights were on and he knew she must be home with a heavy heart he approached the door wondering how much as Hester would take the news  when does Hester came to the door Allen blurted out his credible story he could barely hold back the tears then raising out of the kitchen dog food on his nose came Fritz Ellen couldn't give his eyes  I'm afraid Mr gosausee played a trick on you said Miss Hester trying to hide a smile when I returned he must have found his own way home while you were with Mister B kisasi you see Allen no one can really turn dogs into ducts that old magician just made you think that duck was Fritz Helen felt very he promised himself he never be fooled like that again he was too old to believe in magic Miss Hester watched from the porches Allen waved goodbye are we down the road to go home then she called out to Fritz who is playfully running around the yard he came trotting out the front steps with something in his mouth dropped it at Miss Hester's feet why you bad dog she said what are you doing with Alan's hat
